San Blas Islands, Panama

My favorite place in the whole world thus far; Kuanidup Island, apart of the San Blas islands in The Republic of Panama where I studied abroad my first three semesters of college.

Caribbean Cruise, Spring 2009

I had the time of my life on this cruise; it was my first. :)

Key West, FL

Spring Break of 2010, my trip to Key West, FL. An incredibly gorgeous place.

Graduation, FSU Class of 2011 - Go Noles!

This marked the end of college and my time to explore, but no worries; I'll continue to grow as a person in med school. :)

The Taj Mahal

June, Summer of 2011, was my first summer off since I started (and finished) college. Family trip to India included the Taj Mahal, of course.

Crazy Days

Christmas was pretty nice for the most part. My brother loved his present. Same goes for the parents. Glad I did well this year. :)

I've been watching a lot of movies lately... I went and saw "I Am Legend" and it was pretty good. I'd give it 4 stars.

Watched "The Waitress" and "Blind Dating" just a few hours ago. I'm on a chick-flick phase. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing...

I dunno, must be all those movies or something, but I'm really proud of myself. For not being "another typical teen". I'm saving myself for bigger and better things. It'll come down the road. And when it does, it'll be that much sweeter. :)

I'm tired, but I know that once I shut my eyes, I'll end up not falling asleep for another hour or so... Options? Do some CAS documentation... Read Hamlet, or... Watch another movie... Choices... This is tough.

I think I'm gonna go with....the movie. Later!

It's Been Awhile... Try a Month

So the past month for me has been nothing but working on full drive. Trying to get everything done for IB to the best of my ability. And I'm so utterly proud of myself. I've gotten over all the major hurdles, and the best thing is... I don't regret anything... I don't think I rushed through anything... I'd do it all over again pretty much the same way. I absolutely hate doing poor quality work. And I know that wasn't the case with me. That makes me smile. :)

All As. Except for a B in math. But honestly, I'm glad I switched over into the "easier" IB math class. I'm learning useful things. I take that over derivatives any day.

I watched "A Walk to Remember" last night starting at 3 am. It was beautiful. I want love as strong as Jamie and Langdon's. (I think that was his name...?) It's been so long since I've read for pleasure and this break gives me the opportunity to pick up a book of MY CHOICE. :) Well, I have some reading for history and English to do, but... Still. I've got time on my side now. =) I think I'm gonna try a Nicholas Spark book. I feel like I'm going through that chick lit and flick phase. Not sure why. I think I might go see "P.S. I Love You." Either that or... "I Am Legend." Not sure...

So four months left. Approx. Just gotta coast through those months and I'm college-bound. I can't believe that I have to wait until February 15th to hear from UF! Uggh! That is waaay too long. I got my SAT score up by another 30 points. I really hope I'm a sure candidate for UF. I want to go there sooo badly.

I've heard back from four of my college picks. =) Accceptance letters for all four. Even a full ride to one of them... Doubt I'll take it though. That's how badly I want UF. :)

So I'm listening to Colbie Caillat and just typing and I can smell the Indian food cooking in the kitchen. Mmm. :) It's hard to cocmprehend... Next year, I won't have my mom's food all the time. I mean, not even once a week... Can I really do this? I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

I bought my brother a Nintendo DS and two games to go along with it. I hope he likes it. I hope he remembers me next year when I'm miles away. Assuming I get into UF... If not, I will probably go to FSU. Goodness.

I got my dad a pretty thoughtful present. At least, I thought it was thoughtful. Still thinking about my mom... I'm gonna probably go with a watch. She has an obsession with watches. Plus, she's been looking at watches at every store. Seems logical. =)

And as for me, nothing much else. Over break, I'm gonna work on getting my Portfolio up. It's called Click! You should check it out. :)

That's all. Tom whom ever might be reading. Peace out. :)

The Bachelor

Well, dang, that was a let down. Brad didn't chose either Jenni OR DeAnna! Both were amazing women... :(

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

I feel like I blog about boring stuff. But honestly, this is my life. So whatever, right? And I write for myself. Not for anyone else...

I got the combined SAT score I wanted. :)

IB is a pain. But this is the big stretch. Separating the wheat from the chaff. I'm the wheat. ;)

Life on hold!

Fall is gorgeous. <3

Nothing much to blab about today. I'm hooked to Hilary Duff's new album, Dignity. I don't knwow what's up with me. I'm listening to a lotta new artists lately. Venturing from my normal favorites to say the least.

I hope I get to be a Gator... I hope I get to be a Gator... My essay for admission wasn't that amazing, I know. *sigh*

SHS lost THE game. I have no clue how Monday is gonna go down. =/

Crunchy leaves = <3.

Crossing Off My List

Annnnd, the list of colleges left to apply for is slowly vanishing...

  1. University of Florida
  2. Florida State University
  3. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  4. University of Maryland
  5. University of Tulsa
  6. Hendrix College
  7. Austin College

Err, well, I still have to do Part 2 for the U. of Maryland. And Part II for Tulsa. There's still fun scholarship applications. Man, it never ends.

Happy Halloween!

Why am I here instead of finishing my UNC application? I dunno...

Happy Halloween to the people that have time! God bless you! ;)

Procrastination is the Devil

It really is. I've been procrastinating sooo much this year. In fact, I seem to procrastinate more and more as the years go by. If I keep up at this rate, I'll have nothing done as the days slip by when I'm in my mid twenties.

I dunno. The sad thing is...I don't know how to get out of this habit. Because at the last minute, I manage to get everything done, and I end up doing fairly well too. This does not help. I don't learn from my mistake.

Hence...Procrastination is the Devil. I am stuck with my stupid ways. Someone help me... =(

Edit: I am done with my paper for English. It was over the essay "Lenses" from Teaching a Stone to Talk, by Annie Dillard which is one of the most pointless books I've ever read. I really don't understand why our teacher chose this book to be one of our possibilities for the IB orals. Uggh.

College Applications

So my college list keeps growing. Just when I start to feel confident about that application I just sent in, I think twice and apply somewhere else where I feel I'm sure to get in. Impulsive applying...? So here are my 6 picks.

  1. University of Florida
  2. Florida State University
  3. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  4. University of Maryland
  5. University of Tulsa
  6. Hendrix College
  7. Austin College

I'm completely finished with the application process for choices 1 and 2. The others still have part II of their Applications to be completed.

And of course my SAT score from the October test has been delayed. Leave it to me to switch my answers for Sections 6 and 7. So it'll take longer for me to get my results back. Go me.

There is just an overwhelming amount of stuff to complete for IB and right now, I know I'm not helping the situation by procrastinating. I think I like working under the stress I create. -_-

The streak of cold has been broken today. It's actually chillier inside the casa than it is outside. I wish I could be outside right now taking pictures. I really really want to work on my photography. I want to get a good starter camera and just get out there and work at it. But yeah, there's this nightmare called IB...

And so the journey begins...

I think that writing my thoughts out will be beneficial as opposed to keeping everything bottled in. Writing things out has worked in the past, why can't it work now? :) So a hearty hello to the blog world!

We went to Chamber Stream last week. I was delighted to find little treasures scattered around that everyone else pretty much missed.

I really want to take photography classes in college. This is the one form of art that I can truly connect with. I might not be good at it, but it helps me vent. As weird as that sounds.

So I've applied at UF and FSU so far. I'm really hoping things work out. Being a Gator sounds t-riffic. I have my fingers crossed. I guess all I can do now is sit and wait. Well...I dunno about that. There's too much IB workload to just sit around and laze away the day.

I get my SAT results online tonight at...midnight. I cannot wait. That studying better have paid off!

Senior pictures were today. Not fun. I hope I never have to wear one of those nasty shoulder drapes again. Classy my butt. Why do they want us to all look uniform anyways?

So alright, enough for my first "blog" even though I said next to nothing. :)
